Jeff Beal, President 2010

    Jeff has been serving on the Board of Governors since 2003.  He has served in many positions, including Governor, Secretary, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, and this year as President.

    Jeff says that his plans for the Society include "introducing proposals for a number of changes in the way we are structured, as well as how we operate and do business, for the purpose of strengthening the Society and improving the value of the credential to its members."

    In his words he has "come to appreciate the importance and potential of the Society over the years, not only as an educational force and fraternal organization but as a force that can improve and enrich the professional lives of its members."  Jeff is a Senior General member of the Society and a certified USPAP instructor.  He teaches various courses for the Society.  

Mike Schlesinger, Vice President 2010

    Mike joined the Board of Governors in 2008.  He was immediately thrust into an officer's position (Secretary).  It was truly a baptism by fire for him.  He has become one of our most valuable board members in the two short years that he has served as Secretary and then as 2nd Vice President/Publications Chairman.  This year, Mike will be the 1st Vice President/Programs Chairman.  In addition, he will serve as Acting Publications Chairman. 

    Mike is a member of the New York Appraisal Board, a position to which he was appointed in December 2007 by New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.  The Board works with Department of State to oversee appraisers and continuing education providers in New York State. 

    Mike is a Senior Residential member of the Columbia Society and teaches many courses, including the Society's 7-hour FHA/VA continuing education course.  He holds a New York State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser license.
