 Q - What classroom c.e. seminars are given by the Columbia Society?

The Columbia Society gives classroom continuing education (c.e.) seminars for appraisers and real estate brokers/agents.  These seminars are taught by industry leaders.  Attendance earns students continuing education credits required by New York State Department of State for both disciplines.  Not all seminars are approved for both disciplines.  Please check each seminar offering for approval.

Our 3-hour seminars are given at the following locations:

Woodbury - Fox Hollow Restaurant, 7725 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, NY (Info)

Ronkonkoma - Holiday Inn, 3845 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma, NY (Info)

7-Hour seminars are all-day events, and locations vary.  Check Schedule below for locations.

Woodbury - 3-hour seminars start at 5:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm/Registration 5:00-5:30 pm*

Ronkonkoma - 3-hour seminars start at 5:30 pm and end at 8:30 pm/Registration 5:00-5:30 pm*

Our 7-hour seminars all all day events, and times vary based on location.  Check Schedule below for times.

Q - What is the cost of a seminar?

 

The cost for a 3-hour seminar is $85.00 

Members who register early online can save $25.00

Non-members:  Call (631) 732-6200 and ask about getting member rate.

Price includes dinner at Koenig's Park location.  Price includes coffee/dessert at Holiday Inn location.

 

The cost for a 7-hour seminar varies, based on fees for books.  For example, USPAP books are now $100 (our cost).  We try to keep the cost as low as possible and at the same time give you a comfortable classroom and some refreshments in addition to the books required for the course.

Attorney Lewis C. Edelstein will introduce you to the different types of matrimonial appraisals, show you how to prepare matrimonial

appraisals for divorce actions, and discuss many of the practical aspects of this field.

A mock trial following the discussion will teach you about preparing for testifying in court as an expert witness.
